As a Christian, Group 1 Independent School, Unity Christian School receives 50% of BC government funding provided to public schools. This government grant, combined with tuition, is used for our basic operational expenses. However, unlike public schools, Unity also carries additional costs related to owning and maintaining our building and providing buses, technology, equipment, special programming, and more.

LONG-TERM DEBT REDUCTION

Reducing long-term debt decreases the amount of interest owed, and frees up credit for future capital projects that require borrowing.

NEW ROAD SIGN

I saw the sign... actually, I didn't. It's time to replace the wood sign at the entrance near the road. The new sign will be bigger, consistent with our branding, and visible in the dark. Depending on the cost, this project may be completed in stages.

OPERATIONAL NEEDS

Sometimes life happens. While we do our best to anticipate upcoming operational needs and budget for them, sometimes life can throw you a curve ball. Supporting this impact area will help us cover any potential shortfall.

PRESCHOOL OUTDOOR LEARNING SPACE

The current play area is grass/mud and contains a sandbox, garden beds, and various loose parts for play. The students would benefit from a covered structure and additional play areas, and the site could use a better solution for drainage.

SCHOOL STORE

Hands-on, Practical Learning. We plan to add a small coffee, snack, and school swag store in our front lobby. This store will be part of our leadership and business/accounting courses.

TUITION AID

Open doors to Christian education. The Tuition Aid Fund is meant to ensure that Christian education is accessible to all Christian families that desire it. Unity Christian School assesses the needs of each family that applies for reduced or delayed tuition payments.
