Introduction
Faribault Cares, in collaboration with local community leaders, employer representatives, and child care agencies, is pleased to announce an opportunity for experienced child care providers to submit proposals for the development and management of a new child care center. This center will be centrally located at the Faribo Town Square, 201 Lyndale Ave S, Faribault, MN 55021, a site chosen for its accessibility and potential to serve a diverse community demographic.
Background and Project Objectives
As a new organization born from a comprehensive community initiative, Faribault Cares is dedicated to enhancing child care offerings in the region to meet the evolving needs of our families and workforce. This RFP seeks to establish a child care center that not only addresses the immediate needs for quality child care but also sets a foundation for long-term educational and developmental benefits within the community.
The objectives of this RFP include:
- Establishing a fair and transparent process for the selection of a child care provider.
- Meeting specific community needs such as bilingual care (particularly in Spanish), flexible and extended care hours (from 5:30 AM to 7:00 PM, including potential second shift hours), and drop-in childcare services.
- Creating sustainable partnerships that support the community's broader goals, including workforce development and educational advancements through strategic collaboration.
