This is Phase 2 of Mount Prospect School District 57’s community engagement efforts being conducted throughout 2024 to develop a community-driven plan for the future of our schools. Thank you for participating!

WHAT IS MOST IMPORTANT TO YOU?

	FULL DAY KINDERGARTEN: Compliance with state mandate to provide full-day programming for kindergartners, which will increase academic and social emotional learning for early learners and potentially provide childcare savings for parents. (Estimated Cost: $19.2 million)
	CLASSROOM IMPROVEMENTS: Larger, modernized classrooms and science labs with improved technology and furniture to provide better learning environments for students that can accommodate today’s and tomorrow’s learning and instruction. (Estimated Cost: $17.6 million)
	INNOVATIVE SPACES: Dedicated spaces providing innovative, hands-on learning opportunities for all students including modernized media centers at all four schools, STEM labs, design and tech experiences, and maker spaces. (Estimated Cost: $9.4 million)
	MUSIC & ARTS SPACES: Dedicated spaces for art and music at Westbrook, eliminating the use of mobile classrooms, and renovation of music spaces at other schools. (Estimated Cost: $3.2 million)
	ATHLETICS: Expanded gymnasiums, improved locker rooms, and a running track at Lincoln to enhance the physical education experience and increase athletic opportunities for students in spaces that could potentially be used by the community after hours. (Estimated Cost: $10.75 million)
	STUDENT RESOURCES & SUPPORTS: Dedicated and more private spaces for specialized instruction and related student services, including special education, nursing, speech therapy, reading and math support, and ELL leading to healthier students with stronger social and emotional skills. (Estimated Cost: $3.2 million)
	LUNCHROOMS & MULTIPURPOSE SPACES: Lunchrooms and multipurpose spaces large enough to accommodate students and facilitate small group meetings and larger school assemblies and events, including relocating Lincoln’s lunchroom from the basement and providing new space at Westbrook. (Estimated Cost: $10.2 million)
	INFRASTRUCTURE & MECHANICALS: Safer, updated, and more accessible schools through investments in infrastructure and mechanicals, including roofs, exterior shell, walls, flooding mitigation, bathroom upgrades, HVAC replacements, and elevators at Lincoln and Westbrook. (Estimated Cost: $22.4 million)
	SAFETY & SECURITY: Safer and more secure environments for students and teachers including fire sprinklers at Westbrook and Lincoln and tornado shelters at all buildings. (Estimated Cost: $19.2 million)
	SPACE, CIRCULATION & LAYOUT: Significant improvements to the building layout at Lincoln and Westbrook, including wider hallways, dedicated collaborative and recess spaces, and improved parking and traffic flow at Lincoln, improving circulation and safety of students throughout the buildings. (Estimated Cost: $7.3 million)
