PLEASE REVIEW THE FOLLOWING BEFORE YOU PROCEED WITH REGISTRATION:
 
AUDITIONS: January 26 & 30
Treehouse Theater Studio
 
OPEN TO BOYS & GIRLS, ages 6-18 - maximum cast of TEN students, ages 6-8 
 
Please prepare for auditions:
- Attend the OPTIONAL pre-audition Workshop:  Thurs, Jan 21, 7-8 pm
- Research the storyline, roles (listed on our website) and lines/song(s) of interesting characters
- If interested in a named role, memorize a MONOLOGUE (up to 1-minute) to showcase acting and speaking skills
- Memorize a one-minute VOCAL SOLO
- Accompaniment while singing is required -- bring a CD or an I-pod recording
- "Dressy casual" that allows for easy movement and bring dance shoes (no flip flops or socks)
 
REHEARSAL TIMEFRAMES: February-April

Tuesdays (6:00 - 8:00 pm)    Thursdays (6:00 - 8:00 pm)    Saturdays (10:00 am - 2:00 pm) 
 
- Students will only be called when needed, during the above timeframes
- Conflicts (both weekly and one-time) can be worked around for casting, but they must be provided at registration
- If rehearsal timeframes do not regularly work for you, please consider waiting until the next show to audition
 
DRESS & TECH REHEARSALS
UW-Manitowoc Theatre          ** Student actor attendance is MANDATORY **
SUNDAY, April 17 from 4-8 pm
MONDAY, April 18 from 5-8 pm
TUESDAY, April 19 from 5-8 pm
WEDNESDAY, April 20 from 5-8 pm
 
PERFORMANCES
UW-Manitowoc Theatre        ** Student actor attendance is MANDATORY **
THURSDAY, April 21 @ 6:30 pm
FRIDAY, April 22 @ 6:30 pm
SATURDAY, April 23 @ 2:00 pm
SUNDAY, April 24 @ 2:00 pm

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE (this is not required in order to audition)
List music, dance and/or stage experience

For example: role/show/organization, dance classes, voice lessons, choirs, instrument
Will you be in town during your Spring Break AND available for rehearsals ? *
REHEARSAL CONFLICTS
WEEKLY conflicts that you have during Rehearsal timeframes
(T/Th 6-8 pm and Sat 10am-2pm)

For example: dance/voice/instrument lessons, rehearsals/shows, sports practices, club meetings
Known ONE-TIME conflicts, family travels, vacations (between Feb 4 and April 14)
 
Actors will be REMOVED FROM THE CAST after the second missed rehearsal that is not identifed above. Check carefully to be sure that all known conflicts are identified
 
Conflicts will be considered in casting - numerous conflicts cannot be allowed

IF YOUR CHILD IS FINALIZED AS A CAST MEMBER, there is a $100 Participation Fee
WHICH INCLUDES:  all instruction, music CD, script, costume (you may be asked to provide basis items like shoes and/or pants) cast t-shirt, and DVD handed out at the cast party!  
 
*  Family discount -- $75 participation fee for each additional sibling
*  Scholarships (full and partial) are available to help make this opportunity a reality for all interested students and families - Application will be emailed to all confirmed cast families
 
TICKETS to the Performances are NOT included.
