This is definitely not a coffee-getting, copy-making kind of internship – you’ll be using your talents to the fullest. RESPONSIBILITIES

Global Onboarding
It all begins with orientation at one of our corporate offices. We’ll give you an in-depth overview of our business and culture, and you’ll spend a day getting hands-on experience in one of our restaurants.

Project work
After onboarding and training, you’ll jump right into your project. Whatever that is, it will enable you to make an impact on our organization – every project we assign to our interns receives sign off by our CEO and Leadership team.

Ongoing support
You’ll receive plenty of guidance, support, and exposure. Your summer schedule will include training, leadership team lunch-and-learns, formal and informal performance reviews, and social opportunities.

Final presentation
At the end of your internship, you’ll deliver a presentation, reviewing your results and recommendations with members of our leadership team.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • A good academic track record – you should be a 3rd year student, working towards a bachelor’s degree at an accredited post-secondary institution.

During your summer with us, you’ll get to own at least one key project that’s been selected by our senior leaders. Past projects have included developing Content Creation Playbooks with the objective to increase learner’s information retention, engagement, and brand love– projects which offer the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the business. This is definitely not a coffee-getting, copy-making kind of internship – you’ll be using your talents to the fullest. Do well, and we’ll invite you to join our Leadership Development Program immediately after graduation! Continue to be a part of the excitement!

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Key Projects will reflect problems or issues related to RBI’s Business Operations opportunities and sustained growth. Interns will have the entirety of the summer to assess the issue using RBI’s Problem Solving Methodology and make realistic and viable recommendations.   At the end of the ten weeks, interns will present their recommendations to top leadership with the very real possibility that it will be implemented! Your summer schedule will include professional development trainings, leadership team lunch-and-learns, formal and informal performance reviews, and social opportunities. Twice throughout the summer, you will be given a formal review by your supervisor to keep you on track.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • A Bachelor degree – ideally in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Industrial Engineering, Restaurant Management, Supply Chain, Food Production, Food & Beverage Management, Business Administration, Organizational Behavior, Customer Relationship Management, Operations Control, Events Operations, Franchising, etc. 
  • A good academic track record – you should be a 3rd year student (Junior), graduating the following Fall or Spring, working towards a bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university

Those accepted into the Technical Development Program (TLP), Machine Learning have an enormous say in the direction of the company’s growth. The learning curve is seriously steep here with early exposure to leadership responsibility. At RBI, you must have a yearning for learning and cutting-edge technological advances.

Onboarding

During Onboarding, you’ll be immersed in the RBI culture and will have the chance to meet members from our leadership team in our Miami Office. You’ll also receive a mentor during this period to help guide you throughout your journey with RBI!

Training

Next, you’ll spend a few weeks going through all the training you’ll need to be a successful Machine Learning Engineer at the company. This will include core skills and technical training, as well as in-restaurant training giving you an in-depth, hands-on experience of our business operations.

Rotations

After that, you’ll complete two, six-month long rotations in different tech departments in our Miami office. You will get to rank your preferences for the area in which you would like to explore. Throughout this period, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about different functions, network with various employees, and continue to hear from leadership during program milestones. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Build machine learning models in open source languages like Python/Java/Scala and deploy using cloud infrastructure available in Amazon Web Services.
  • Understand the business requirement and suggest/ evaluate the right features and technique best suited to train and test the model. Work on feature engineering to ensure most information going into the model for prediction accuracy.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand the business strategy and work towards supporting that by gathering the right data and building machine learning models.
  • Follow machine learning model management and life-cycle best practice for all Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning models created.
