POSITION DESCRIPTION

As we grow our platform, we are looking for someone to manage our online communication and drive community engagement. The vast majority of the work will involve the daily management of our social media accounts, but as we rise out of the pandemic, the role will expand to include working with other team members to coordinate some live events. We expect this job would require at least 20 hours per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and implement social media strategy in coordination with our strategic plan to grow our community and scale our impact
Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos, and news) -- with support from a team of content creators using our branding standards
Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner, and monitor community engagement
Monitor website contact email inbox daily and relay pertinent information to our team
Help facilitate partnerships and generate new relationships with organizations and businesses that can help us scale
As Covid restriction ease, help activate our passion-based connection model of forging friendships across race
Help the LoveBolt gain traction as a bold, new NATIONAL symbol of unity and change AND as a shortcut to friendship making

QUALIFICATIONS

Very familiar with Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and TikTok and motivated to see these platforms used for good
Social media guru with direct experience working with online/digital communications, ideally with strong references
Totally energized, not intimidated or fatigued, by the thought of posting daily and of monitoring multiple platforms
Capable of organizing and maintaining a Facebook forum on a given topic
Racial equity is your “thing” -- you live and breathe working for a more just America
Organized and accustomed to meeting deadlines without drama
Enjoy bringing together groups of people
Confident copywriting skills
Willingness to learn, eagerness to create, and a hustle to make it happen
