 Law Enforcement Interactions with LGBTQ+ Community

This course is designed to offer police officers a basic understanding of current terminology and an understanding of risk-factors associated with individuals in the LGBTQ+ Community. Law Enforcement considerations for interactions with the LGBTQ+ Community will be discussed.


Chief Douglas F. Wyman, Jr. has been a police officer for 30 years in New Hampshire and was the Chief of the Sandwich, New Hampshire Police Department for the last ten years. He is currently the Chief of Campus Police, Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital. Chief Wyman is a graduate of all three levels of the Command training Series at Roger Williams University. He was a member of the Executive Board of Directors for the New England Association of Chiefs of Police.
