Ski Area Chaplain Application

First Baptist Church of Tahoe City is currently receiving applications for the position of Ski Area Chaplain. This is a volunteer position seeking to lead enthusiastic and heart felt slopeside outdoor worship services at seven resorts around Lake Tahoe. Ski Area Chaplains are also expected to reach out with God's love to employees and guests while enjoying the ski area.

Waiver of Claims & Indemnity Agreement: I understand that skiing, snowboarding, and winter activities are inherently dangerous and involve the risk of injury and death. I understand that accidents, injuries, and death may occur as a result of my participation in Tahoe Resort Ministries and the ski ministry program of First Baptist Church of Tahoe City. I agree for any accidents, injuries, or death, foreseeable or unforeseeable, to waive any claims against, and agree to release and discharge in advance Tahoe Resort Ministries and First Baptist Church of Tahoe City, its council, members, volunteers and employees from any and all liability for personal injury, death, or property damage which may hereafter accrue to me as a result of such participation, even though that liability may arise out of Tahoe Resort Ministries and First Baptist Church of Tahoe City, or its employee’s negligence or carelessness. I further agree that this waiver, release and assumption of risk is to be binding upon me, my child, my heirs, and assigns. I also hereby agree to indemnify and hold the entity and persons mentioned above harmless against all claims, damages, losses and expenses, including attorneys’ fees, which they may incur as a result of my participation in Tahoe Resort Ministries and the ski ministry program of First Baptist Church of Tahoe City. I have carefully read this agreement, and fully understand its contents. I am aware that this is a release of liability, and a contract between Tahoe Resort Ministries, First Baptist Church of Tahoe City and myself. This contract is not limited to any time period and is for any duration of time in which I serve as ski chaplain and/or participate in Tahoe Resort Ministries and the ski ministry program of First Baptist Church of Tahoe City. I sign it of my free will. *
