Community Pharmacy Advocacy Group Fund

The purpose of the Californians for Access to Life Saving Medicine, a coalition of the California Pharmacists Association, is to form a strategic alliance with all pharmacy owners and stakeholders to provide action against the Medi-Cal NADAC clawback and pricing methodology, as well as continued abuses from PBMs. Funds will be used exclusively for independent owner issues and hiring legal counsel and public relations advocacy work. We have been successful in our advocacy efforts, help us continue the positive momentum:
- Saved pharmacies $47 million in retroactive recoupments
- Secured over 47 minutes of radio and TV airtime
- Recruited over 750 pharmacy owners, pharmacists, and technicians to join our cause
- Placed 13 earned media pieces in regional and local publications
- Partnered with 19 academic, community and patient advocacy organizations
- Generated support from 11 key legislators
- Co-sponsored Assembly Bill 2100 (Wood) to permanently prohibit Medi-Cal clawbacks and address the reimbursement methodology
