Deadline: Thursday, January 10, 2019 (Midnight EST)

There are three separate types of scholarship opportunities for the 2019 AAP Legislative Conference on April 7 - 9, 2019, in Washington, DC. For more information on the conference, please visit aap.org/legcon.

Each scholarship will cover the registration fee ($500 for trainees; $675 for all other AAP members). Lodging and travel expenses are not covered by the scholarship.

  • The AAP Committee on Federal Government Affairs is offering two scholarships to AAP members in good standing who are medical students, residents, fellowship trainees or practicing pediatricians.
  • The AAP Section on Pediatric Trainees is offering nine scholarships to AAP members in good standing who are medical students, residents or fellowship trainees.
  • The AAP Section on Early Career Physicians is offering two scholarships to AAP members in good standing who are early career physicians (in their first 10 years of practice). Applicants must be a member of the Section on Early Career Physicians in order to be eligible to apply.
Please note: The Legislative Conference is intended to help physicians grow as advocates. With that goal in mind, preference may be given to scholarship applicants who have not previously attended the Legislative Conference.
