ONF Grant Application

The current healthcare and nursing workforce crisis, brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, has highlighted the need for new and innovative approaches to addressing issues that face the nursing profession. To that end, ONF is launching a grant program to support innovative nursing research, quality improvement programs, and practice change initiatives.

Deadlines and Process:

Applications are reviewed at the regular ONF Board meetings
Completed form is required for consideration
Amount of up to $5000 may be awarded
Please include scope of project, budget, objectives, and timeline with application

Types of Awards:

Project grants
Research grants
Event sponsorship

Awards will be made for requests that are in alignment with ONF’s three key priorities:

Nursing Education
Nursing Workforce Assistance
Nursing Retention Programs

Priority will be given to:

Applicants that demonstrate innovation, address healthcare inequities, and promote interprofessional collaboration
Non-profit organizations, particularly those which do not have regular funding
