The Texas Oral Health Conference invites you to submit a POSTER PRESENTATION for the 2024 Texas Oral Health Conference August 2, 2024 in Austin, TX.

Applications are open to professional health providers, educators, students, or anyone who would like to present information on their oral health program, project or research. To apply, please complete the online application. Submissions must be received by midnight June 30, 2024. Space is limited and subject to a first come, first served basis. Presenters are responsible for all shipping costs and related fees.
 
If your poster is accepted, presenters will receive reduced registration ($75.00) so they may attend the conference and present their poster.

Set up begins at 12:00 PM CT on August 1, 2024 and all posters should be in place before 3:30 PM. Presenters are asked to leave their posters up for the entire conference, which ends at 5:00 PM CT on August 2, 2024.

Tear down must be completed by 5:30 PM, Friday, August 2, 2024.


Rules and Regulations for Poster Presentations
 
  1. The objective of the poster presentations is a concise display of a single concept/technique.
    • The Conference Planning Committee will consider the following categories for poster presentations:
      • Basic science and/or clinical research
      • Clinical applications, techniques or tips
      • Laboratory applications, techniques or tips
      • Community oral health programs or grant projects
      • Strengthening the Network emphasizes interprofessional collaboration. Projects that describe clinical training for healthcare providers, oral health education to non-dental providers, or incorporating oral health curricula in primary care health education programs are encouraged.
  2. All applications will be reviewed by the Conference Planning Committee.
  3. All presentations will help to fulfill CDE maintenance hours.
  4. A maximum of two authors/presenters will be permitted for each poster presentation. All presentations are conducted at individual poster stations.
  5. Poster presentations should be placed on a foldable 3'x4' (36” x 48”) tri-fold project tabletop board. Presentation boards should be able to stand without assistance.
  6. No power outlets will be provided; presenters must have fully charged batteries that will last the duration of the presentations if a personal notebook computer is used. The use of sound devices of any type is prohibited.
  7. The sale of materials or products is not allowed at any poster presentation and we discourage the use of commercial names in presentations. Advertising matter, commercial promotion, and solicitation of sales of any type are prohibited.
  8. Drugs must be identified by their generic or chemical formula, rather than by commercial trade name.
