Dealing With Issues in the Real Estate Transaction (1338)

Dealing With Issues in the Real Estate Transaction (1338) 3 CE Hours
Tuesday, October 18th, 9:00am -12:00pm (MST)

Deals die in many ways that are not directly caused by you. How do we set ourselves and our customers up to not have this happen to us? In this class we look at issues specifically with title, appraisal, inspection, mortgage, & other agents that cause deals to die. Agents will learn the tricks to minimize the number of deals you lose when one of these other folks screws your deal up. We teach you how to recover and close deals you already have that would otherwise die. The immediate result is more closed deals and happier customers.

Distressed Properties (1342)

Distressed Properties: Foreclosures, Estates, Divorces, Short sales, and Pre-estate sales (1342)
3 CE Hours
Tuesday, October 18, 1:00pm- 4:00 pm (MST)

Distressed
sales are never easy. As the name implies someone is usually in distress. In this class you learn how to work these deals without you becoming the one in distress. While the volume of distressed sales tends to rise and fall with the market, they never really go away. They are not just the traditional foreclosures and short sales most people tend to think of but also divorces, estates, and when the kids want to sell the home to put mom or dad in a home. All of these things require additional skills to handle in a way that makes your deal more likely to close and you less likely to need medication.

Helping Renters Become Buyers and Investors (1340) 3 CE Hours
Wednesday, October 19, 9:00 am- 12:00 pm (MST)

Everywhere you look, you see advertisements by real estate agents about how a buyer or seller should use THEM, because they are the BEST. What makes them the best? In this session, we’ll take your career to the next level by connecting with buyers and sellers in a way that they’ve likely never experienced, and that leaves little doubt in their mind that you really know your stuff! We’ll talk about appreciation vs. inflation, rates of return, IS there a time when it’s better to rent than buy? We can usually agree that of course we want to turn renters into buyers – this session shows you how to turn buyers into INVESTORS. Our instructor is a veteran in real estate and has experienced the ups, downs, what to dos and what NOT to dos. You’ll leave with an edge on the competition without having to take the long way to get there!

Real Estate Karma: Unethical, Illegal or Just Plain Rude (1336R)

Real Estate Karma:  Unethical, Illegal or Just Plain Rude (1336R) 3  "R" CE Hours
Wednesday, October 19, 1:00 pm- 4:00 pm (MST)

After practicing law in the real estate arena for nearly 20 years, this is a question that Trista Curzydlo has heard a lot. This course takes a look at situations that real estate agents face and delineates between what's illegal, what's unethical and what is just plain rude! You'll hear actual tales from the trenches (that might sound all too familiar) and then engage in a review to find out what behavior crosses which line! With Trista's characteristic humorous approach and sharp insights, Real Estate Karma gets REAL. This class does NOT qualify for NAR Code of Ethics requirement.

YouTwitFace: When Real Estate, New Media and the Law Collide (1337R) 3  "R" CE Hours
Thursday, October 20, 9:00 am- 12:00 pm (MST)

It’s been 19 years since MySpace was launched and social media started infiltrating every sector of the way we live and do business.  Whether you’ve embraced new media or rejected the ‘world wide internets’ as a fad, your real estate practice has been impacted by new media.  As social media and new media have evolved, the way real estate agents practice and clients expectations have changed as well.  This course examines how various entities regulate the use of new media by real estate practitioners and provides best practices that every agent can implement in their practice.
