Permit requests for pyrotechnics and flame special effects are due 14 days before event start date. If the application is received past the 14 day deadline, you will be responsible for an additional After Hours/Expedited Review fee to accommodate for the quick turnaround time on the review and arrangement of staff.
 
Permit requests for fireworks are due 30 days before event start date.
If the application is received past the 30 day deadline, you will be responsible for an additional After Hours/Expedited Review fee to accommodate for the quick turnaround time on the review and arrangement of staff.

If you selected YES to any of the previous questions, the event organizer must fill out an ACE application (if you are the pyrotechnics company,you may continue). The ACE application must be filled out by the main event organizer at least 30 days before the event date.

Event Organizer/ Person of Contact Information

Fireworks permit requests are due 30 days before the event date. Please provide event organizer information below, as most events that include fireworks will be considered a special event that requires review from multiple City of Austin departments for safety. Special events require an Austin Center for Events (ACE) application. The event organizer will likely need to fill out an ACE application at least 30 days before the event date to receive legal permitting for their event.

Online Portal User Information

Please note: Prior to completing this application, the party or person paying must create a user account with the City of Austin's online site, Austin Build+Connect. Please do not create a new user account if an account already exists; instead, just log in to retrieve your Austin Build+Connect ID.

Please provide the Austin Build+Connect ID below. The ID number can be found by visiting "My Profile" after the user account is created and you are logged in. To create a user account, visit Austin Build+Connect (AB+C) Online Portal

The invoice will be added to the online portal after this request is submitted and manually processed by the Austin Fire Department. We will notify the Austin Build + Connect account when an invoice is ready. They may then log in to the online portal to pay the pending invoice and check the permit status. Permit request will be on hold until payment is received.
