*HDR Semesters are moving to a six monthly enrolment period.
 
 
Commencing and continuing HDR candidates will therefore be enrolled according to the same commencement and end date for each semester, with Semester 2 2019 running from Monday 1st July 2019 through to Friday 27th December 2019.
 
Please note: MPH and DMN coursework units (e.g. RES601, MPH guided studies, RES801 and LEA802/MIN802) will commence their teaching period on the relevant timetabled date. Enrolment will show a commencement date of 1st July 2019, however access to any relevant teaching materials and/or assessments via Moodle will only be available during the timetabled teaching period for each coursework unit (please refer to the timetable).
 
Fees remain the same for Semester 2 2019, as per the 2019 Alphacrucis Fee Schedule, however please allow for the possibility of annual increases in tuition fees due to CPI or other reasons and expect that tuition fees may change each year for the duration of your course.

Additional Enrolment Information:
All costs related to this new enrolment must be either paid at enrolment or alternative arrangements made such as a nomination to FEE-HELP (for Australian citizens only). We reserve the right not to enrol any student who has outstanding tuition or other related fees on their student account. FEE-HELP is only available to Australian Citizens when enrolled in an award course, it is not available for non-award studies or International Students.
 
Non-Award Study is studying a subject/s for credit toward a non-AC-Award (ie. you are enrolled in another award at a Non AC-institution, and wish to take an elective subject at AC for your award).
 
Please note, available subjects may change depending on student enrolment numbers.
 
Glossary:
Extensive: A class of 5 days (9am-5pm) spread across a semester
Intensive: A class run over a block of 5 days, Monday-Friday (usually 9am-5pm)
Online: A class run through the Online Campus, online interaction only
Variation: A change to your enrolment - MUST be submitted before census date
Weekly: A class that is run at a campus, at the same time each week during a semester
Full-Time Load*: Enrolment into 40 credit points per semester period
Part-Time Load: Enrolment into 20 credit points per semester period
*Any person studying in Australia on a Student Visa are required to maintain enrolment at 40 credit points per semester, except where a reduced study load has been formally approved. For more information, please visit the Enrolment Policy.

IMPORTANT UPDATE

AUTOMATED ENROLMENT PROCESS
 
Alphacrucis is moving toward an automated enrolment process for candidates in the HDR program.
 
At commencement (or via this form for continuing students), candidates will agree to the campus location, study load and unit selection for the award in which they wish to be enrolled.
 
The information you provide on this form will correspond with your enrolment this semester, and will assist the Registry department in automatically enrolling you for each subsequent semester for the duration of your studies.

By completing each enrolment checkbox you are agreeing to be enrolled in the relevant unit(s) this semester. You are also agreeing to be automatically enrolled at the commencement of each subsequent semester for the duration of your studies, as per the information you provide on this form.
 
Tution fees will continue to be charged on a semesterly basis, calculated in accordance with the relevant Fee Schedule for each semester and calendar year, along with any relevant scholarship or fee subsidy arrangements.
 
When enrolled at each enrolment period, you will be issued with the following:
• an enrolment confirmation email outlining the unit(s) in which you are enrolled
• an invoice from Accounts (prior to Census Date) confirming tuition fees paid or outstanding
• an email from Registry outlining your responsibilities as a student with links to the relevant forms to request any changes to your enrolment for that semester.

ENROLMENT GUIDE

MASTER OF PHILOSOPHY
Please read the following course structure summary for the Master of Philosophy (MPhil) program.
 
The course consists of 120 credit points comprising:
• one core research methods unit (20 credit points)
• one Guided Study unit at 700 level (20 credit points) to be taken from the area of specialisation
• one core 30,000 word research thesis (80 credit points) in area of specialisation
 
To qualify for award of the degree of Master of Philosophy a candidate shall complete at least 120 credit points.
 
The following is to be used as a guide for your Master of Philosophy Studies. Pre-requisite units are shown in red.

DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) candidates are enrolling in either a full-time (40cp) or part-time (20cp) study load each semester to complete their Research Thesis (RES803).
 
Provisional Candidature
If you are commencing your research in the PhD or have not yet completed a full year of research (2 semesters, 40 credit points per semester, or equivalent), you may proceed with your enrolment selection below.
 
Confirmation of Candidature*
If you have completed your first full year of the PhD and have received confirmation of candidature, you may proceed with your enrolment selection below.
 
 
* There is a mandatory review process for PhD students to receive confirmation of candidature and supervision, which takes place after 12 months full-time study (or equivalent, if studying part-time).
 
Presentation of a detailed Research Proposal to the Confirmation Panel is expected to take place after 12 months full-time study (2 semesters, 40 credit points per semester, or equivalent).
 
If you have completed your first full year of the PhD, and have not undergone the review process, please contact the HDR Officer to discuss your Candidature Review BEFORE proceeding with your enrolment.
 
 
DOCTOR OF MINISTRY
To be eligible to graduate with the Doctor of Ministry (DMN) award, a candidate shall accrue at least 240 credit points.
The Doctor of Ministry comprises of:
• one Research Method unit (20 credit points)
• one Area of Specialisation unit (20 credit points)
• Research Thesis (200 credit points)

COURSE PROGRESSION

REMINDER: At HDR Level, a part-time study load is equivalent to 20 credit points per semester whilst a full-time study load is equivalent to 40 credit points per semester.

International Students studying in Australia with a Student Visa must enrol to study a full-time load (on campus), unless otherwise approved.

Policies and Procedures

Withdrawal

Students may withdraw from subjects without academic penalty only if notice of withdrawal is submitted via the Enrolment Variation Form (Link) by 4:00pm on the Census Date applicable for the subject in question.

If withdrawal occurs up to 4:00pm on the Census Date, the tuition fee will be refunded but a withdrawal penalty may be charged to the student. If withdrawal occurs after 4:00pm on Census Date, the tuition fees will not be refunded.

If Alphacrucis defaults in the delivery of subjects, the arrangements set out in the Alphacrucis College Refund Policy* will be applied.

Privacy Legislation
