Field Study Enrolment Form
Alphacrucis College is proud to offer our students the opportunity to put knowledge into practice by expanding the classroom overseas. This year, we are excited to be running two field study trips, a Cross Cultural field study to Thailand (CCM392/CCM592), and an Old Testament field study to the historic Israel (BIBXXX/BIB349/BIB592).
Please take your time to read through the important information outlined on this form before enrolling to ensure you have a full understanding of what will be required of you in each of these amazing trips.
Overview: Each of these field studies contains pre-trip material that will enable you to have a more enriched experience abroad. It is compulsory that you attend these classes in the lead up and after the field study. As this is a timetabled class, you are reminded to note the census date for your chosen Field Study as the final day to withdraw without penalty. Failure to do so may result in the loss of any funding you have paid and a fail on your official transcript.
Eligibity: Students applying for either field study must be approved by Alphacrucis College as appropriate representatives of the college and its values. You will be deemed as a suitable canditate if you have both a good academic and financial standing with the college. That is to say, you must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher, there can be no pastoral concerns raised by your Program Director or Student Services, and you must not have any outstanding fees with the college. Your application will therefore be reviewed by both the relevant Program Director and the Director of Student Services. Students must also be in a good physical condition and a health statement signed by a GP must be provided by applicants over 50 years of age (please send to firstname.lastname@example.org).
Related Subjects: Both of these units will expand upon your pre-existing knowledge in the related field of study. You must have either successfully completed the pre-requisite unit, or commit to enrolling in the related unit as a co-requisite for the semester. For more information, please read the subject outlines found on our website.
Auditing: The college is excited to extend the invitation to partake in these field studies by means of an 'audit enrolment'. As a family, friend or alumni of the college, you have the opportunity to attend the field study, receive extensive training and gain rewarding experiences and skills. You will be expected to attend the classes, but you will be under no obligation to complete the related assessment tasks and therefore no credit will be awarded for the subject.
