The Obama Administration and Congress have only a few days to go before Dec. 31st when the individual income tax rate cuts and a host of tax deductions expire. Unfortunately, they are no closer to a solution on the impending fiscal cliff. The National Association for the Self-Employed calculates that self-employed business owners could face a tax increase of $2,700 to $3,700 if policymakers do not act now to solve this problem.
